Buddy punching and "I'm almost there" punches are hard to catch with a register or a shared login. A geofence ties every punch to a place: if the phone is not inside the site's circle, the punch does not count.
GPS is never perfectly precise, especially indoors, so Punchly samples several location fixes and allows a small margin around the radius. An accuracy cap only kicks in for readings that land outside the circle — someone standing in the office is not blocked because their phone reported a wide accuracy.
Each punch is stored with its location, so managers can review where a day started and ended alongside the hours, late marks and overtime that Punchly calculates automatically.
