Payroll goes wrong when attendance, leave and overtime live in three different places. In Punchly they are the same data: a day is graded once — present, late, half day, quarter day, absent, leave, holiday or week-off — and that grade drives payable days and loss-of-pay.

Day-length thresholds for full, half and quarter days are yours to set, along with a grace period for late marks. Loss-of-pay counts absent days, unpaid leave and the unpaid part of partial days.

Salary structure comes from each employee's basic, HRA and allowances (or is split from CTC when only that is known), prorated by payable days. The current month is shown as provisional until it is complete.
